Dr. Veeramani Velayutham is a biotechnology scientist with over 15 years of research experience in molecular biology, infectious disease diagnostics, and bioproduct development. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of Madras and is a recipient of the prestigious National Postdoctoral Fellowship (DST–SERB, Government of India).

He has worked at leading institutions including IIT Madras, Viral Research & Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL), Sathiyabama Institute of Science and Technology, contributing to molecular diagnostic kit development, viral research, and pandemic response.

Dr. Veeramani Velayutham has published 19 international research articles and has submitted 64 nucleotide sequences to GenBank. His expertise includes DNA and RNA isolation technologies, magnetic bead-based purification systems, vaccine research, molecular phylogeny, and infectious disease detection.

At Weevil Biotech, he leads the development of high-quality molecular biology reagents and diagnostic solutions supporting animal health, plant health, and human health.
